How do I register for Agora’s token sale?

You can register to our token sale by going to Agora's ICO Platform and using Blockpass or Telegram.
 

What is Blockpass?

Blockpass is an identity verification system that gives individuals control over their data and eliminates the process of having to submit KYC data every time they need to sign up for a financial service or retailer. Read more about Blockpass here.
 

Why should I register with Blockpass?

Convenience and data ownership. By submitting your KYC data on Blockpass you create a verified digital identity that you can use for quickly and easily signing up on other financial services or retailers. Blockpass is a decentralised system built on the blockchain, which means that your data are only stored in your mobile device and are truly only owned by you.
 

How do I register for the token sale with Blockpass?

Registering with Blockpass is very easy. Follow the steps below:

• Download the Blockpass app from the App Store or Google Play
• Submit all the personal information requiredby the app
• Once your identity is verified by Blockpass, go to Agora's ICO Platform and click on Connect with Blockpass
• Read Terms of Service and Privacy Policy and click on Read & Agree
• Scan the QR code with the app to provide your verified identity
• Confirm that you allow Agora to receive your information and upload your data
• Click on Add Wallet Address, paste your ERC20 wallet address in the provided field and click Continue - IMPORTANT: be sure to copy an address from an ERC20 wallet like MetaMask and not an exchange otherwise you won’t be able to receive your tokens

How do I sign up with Telegram?

• Click on Log in with Telegram
• Read Terms of Service and Privacy Policy and click on Read & Agree
• Enter the phone number connected to your Telegram account and click on Next
• Click on Confirm in the message sent you by Telegram itself on Telegram
• Submit the personal information requested by the form
• Click on Add Wallet Address, paste your ERC20 wallet address in the provided field and click Continue - IMPORTANT: be sure to copy an address from an ERC20 wallet like MetaMask and not an exchange otherwise you won’t be able to receive your tokens

What’s the difference between Blockpass and Telegram?

For the purpose of registering for our token sale, there is no difference as both work just fine. Signing up with Blockpass however creates a digital identity profile that you can use for onboarding on any other financial service or retailer so you won’t have to submit your KYC data every time. Furthermore Blockpass is a decentralised system, which means that your data are only stored in your mobile device and not saved in a centralised server.
 

Do I need to upload my passport to register for the token sale?

Yes, you do. We need this information for identity verification purposes. However neither us or Blockpass will store it as our systems are decentralised, which means that the data you upload are only stored locally on your device.
 

Do I need a wallet address to complete my registration?

Yes, you do. We need your address from an ERC20 compatible wallet, like MetaMask, in order to onboard you for the token sale. Onboarding involves adding your ERC20 wallet address to our token sale smart contract after we have verified your identity.
 

How long will it take for my account to be approved?

Account approval usually takes between three to five days. Once your account has been approved you will receive a confirmation email.

Buying VOTE Tokens

How do I buy VOTE tokens?

• Once registered, log in on Agora's ICO Platform and click on Buy Tokens from the menu on the dashboard
• Read Terms of Service and click on Accept
• Type the amount of ETH you would like to contribute and click Buy Tokens

If you are using MetaMask:

• A MetaMask pop-up will appear asking to confirm or reject the transaction
• Click Submit and the window will close to let the MetaMask extension open showing the progress of the transaction
• Note: if the MetaMask pop-up does not appear, you will see a notification to check the MetaMask extension for your ongoing transaction

If you re not using MetaMask:

• A window will appear displaying our wallet address and TRANSACTION DATA code
• Copy and paste them on your ERC20 compatible wallet and proceed with the purchase
   

When can I buy VOTE tokens?

You will be able to buy VOTE tokens after the launch of the token sale and once you have been onboarded, which means that we have verified your identity and added your Ethereum wallet address to our token sale smart contract.
 

Do I need a wallet to buy tokens?

Yes, you need an ERC20 compatible wallet, as we do not generate one for you.
 

Which wallet do I need to buy tokens?

To buy VOTE tokens you need an ERC20 compatible wallet, which is a wallet website or a wallet app where you and you only hold the private keys. Private keys are needed to correctly interact with smart contract functions, like transferring tokens. Here is a list of ERC20 compatible wallets that you can use to buy ERC20 tokens like VOTE. 

Important: do not use a wallet address from a cryptocurrency exchange - you will not receive your tokens.
 

What is MetaMask?

MetaMask is one of the most common ERC20 compatible wallets used to sign transactions on the blockchain and receive and store ERC20 tokens, like VOTE.
 

Which cryptocurrency can I use to pay?

You can only buy VOTE tokens with ETH.
 

Is ETH the only crypto accepted?

Yes. The reason why is that VOTE tokens are ERC20-compliant tokens built on Ethereum, which allows for trustless transactions based on smart contract during the token sale.
 

Can I pay with BTC or cash?

No, the only currency accepted is ETH.
 

When will I get my tokens?

You will be able to claim your VOTE tokens after the lock-up period has ended. Lockup period is four months but only on the bonus. Should we not reach the soft cap, we will refund your transaction.
 

Where can I see my balance?

To check your balance log in on Agora's ICO Platform and your VOTE token balance will be displayed in My Balance, next to ICO Information.
If you navigate away to another section of our contributor interface, click on Home from the menu on the dashboard to go back to the main page where your balance information are shown.
 

Where can I see my transaction history?

To see your transaction history log in on Agora's ICO Platform and click on Transaction Historyfrom the menu on the dashboard.
 

How long does it take to see my transactions?

It depends on the network load at the time you did your transaction. It can take anywhere between a few seconds to several minutes.
 

Why don’t I see my transactions?

It is very likely because it is still processing. If it takes a really long time - e.g. hours - click on Contact Support from the menu on the dashboard and send us an email.
 

What should I do if my transaction gets rejected?

Your transaction can get rejected in case of:

• Insufficient GAS: GAS is the amount paid to the Ethereum network to support the transaction. If you changed the amount of GAS that could have caused the rejection as you may have set it too low. As we automatically set the amount of GAS needed to allow the transaction, please do not set a different GAS amount.
• Incorrect code in TRANSACTION DATA field: double-check the TRANSACTION DATA code you pasted in your wallet and make sure it is the same.

If your transactions are still getting rejected, click on Contact Support from the menu on the dashboard and send us an email.
 

How can I request for refund?

To request a refund log in on Agora's ICO Platform, click on Contact Support from the menu on the dashboard and send us an email.

Promo Codes, Referrals & Bonuses

Where can I get the promo code?

Promo-codes are shared exclusively by our team as part of special campaigns during our token sale.

How do I apply a promo code?

To apply a promo code log in on Agora's ICO Platform, click on Buy Tokens from the menu on the dashboard and then click on Apply Promo-Code. Insert the promo-code and proceed with your purchase.
 

How do I get the bonus?

Bonuses are automatically calculated as you purchase the tokens during the period when the bonus is valid.
 

How can I invite a friend?

To invite a friend log in on Agora's ICO Platform, click on Referrals and Bonus from the menu on the dashboard and get a referral link by clicking on Copy Link, in the Earn More Tokens section. Share the referral link with your friends to earn more VOTE tokens.
